To hear that Asta is in control of the shadow on some level, even if it's subconscious at this point, has Niki's smile growing a touch softer, especially to see the darkness at the butcher's shoulder creep lower as if shy at being acknowledged so openly. He has no doubt that the magic being described doesn't extend only to smiling shadows and is probably a great deal more ominous in practice, but he certainly isn't going to provoke a demonstration. "Please do not feel as though you need to entertain me for too long, on that note. I just wanted to say hello and to let you know I was in town. I wondered if you would have time to meet while I am visiting so we can share the things we have made."
