Immediately warming to the company of her father, Caly’s mind shifts toward more of a golden landscape, less cold and less held off as she blinks up at him with brighter amber eyes, lips quirking into a bit of amusement as she does, indeed, trail alongside him toward the punch stand that seems relatively boring if it didn’t have any kind of alcohol in it. Knowing her father, though, she’s hoping he’ll have a way around that.
“Doesn’t look like they’re anythin’ useful.” She admits with a wrinkle of her nose, snagging the cup of punch he offers her and almost a touch too eagerly holding out her cup for the spiced rum to add to it. Cradling it in her hands and taking a sip of it, she breathes a sigh of relief, mind swirling with appreciation and content.
As for how she’s finding the mandatory fun, plenty of thoughts burst through her mind – I kind of hate it? Vesper and Nova are over there talking about something I’m not involved in and that also kinda sucks. Thought there’d be more to do than pretend it’s some kind of expanded date night with the games around everyone’s trying to win to impress someone else - and decides to settle on “It’s alright.” In terms of the mandatory fun, at least. She latches onto the hot air balloon crash, though, glancing over Jack’s shoulder to spy the hot air balloons trailing in the distance and almost wishing she had some kind of magic to fuck with them. “Ugh I wish.”
Alas, she doesn’t, but she does squint back toward Jack with a brighter grin as a thought occurs to her. “Oh, I got a new shift! Did I tell ya about it already?”
That's about the time she spies Vesper and Nova arriving, her brother's question causing a small snort and a roll of her eyes. "Nah, not sure it's safe." Flashing a small grin toward Jack with amusement, Caly hides it with a sip from her glass of spiked punch.
