there exists a tipping point between gods and monsters
Jack's eyebrows raise at that little crumb of information, his mind already turning it over and ripping it to shreds to see what he might make of it, and the smile on his face is entirely unintentional. "I think I heard somethin' like that once, but I thought it was just a rumour," he says. "That's another point in the Greatwood's favour I s'pose." And certainly interesting when it comes to using it for their own interests.
Glancing in the direction the arrows on the sign point (only, of course, to find one way completely blocked by trees and brambles and the other pointing to a trail that's mostly puddles of mud), he scoffs to hear that Nova, of course, isn't on board with uprooting their lives all over again. "I haven't," he says of the cafe. "But maybe I'll drop by, plant some seeds about this place at the same time. With a goddess for a mother there ain't much that's impossible for you three."
For now, though, the fog finally seems to be clearing as the downpour slows to a less aggressive patter, and Jack can hear the calls of a few of his crew in the near distance. "Want a ride to Sidhe?" he asks.
