Flowerbirth looses its grip on Caido all at once, and with the dawn of Longheat, things immediately begin to heat up. Much more than usual in fact, or so mutter farmers and merchants. The clinging mud dries into hard-packed ground, and rain heavy skies part to reveal endless, blistering blue. Where the heat can't reach, the glare from the sunshine will be dazzling in those frostier regions all the same; a welcome change for all from the wet misery of the prior few months.
But it doesn't end there. Rumours begin to circulate that Tanau - Longheat's patron deity and resident of The Climb - is behind the blazing intensity of the season, contributing to the swift end to the plague of mud and the droning rainfall. But in his enthusiasm, it appears that he may have over anticipated the need for heat, and what should have brought relief and celebration and sunshine is now threatening to burn - literally - out of control.
Droughts and wildfires grow increasingly common, particularly in regions thick with thirsty vegetation, and where the fire can't reach, a thick smog blots across the sun and dyes the world a fiendish haze of yellow. Still, you can't fault a god for trying, right?

This event will run from January 1st to February 28th. All requirements must be met to complete the event. Multiple characters can participate, but the threads do not carry across! (I.E. Both characters must complete all threads to gain +1 Luck/100MP each).
Please use the Seasonal Event prefix in your thread titles. Once all requirements are met, post them here with your OOC account, linking the necessary threads and whether you'd like +1 Luck for your character or 100MP! Threads must be archived before the end of the season in order to be accepted.
1. Complete a thread encountering either smoke OR fire depending on your location, caused by the various wildfires.
2. Complete a thread doing something fun with fire!
3. Attend the SWE in The Climb - [SWE] curb your enthusiasm - and bring an offering for Tanau. These can include offerings found via Serendipities.
4. Beat/embrace the heat! Complete a thread finding a way to stay cool or, in the case of our more hot-blooded characters, enjoy the hot weather!
