Her hands takes Marcus ' firm and sure, dipping a nod towards him. "Colt Winchester, owner here," she offers, whether it's needed or not, she'd rather him not be bumbling about uncertain. To Nova , her attention turns with a lift of surprise, and for a moment she's stunned with her hand held up in a frozen wave. She knows that his family is still here, has made a point of avoiding them in fact, especially after the spectacle with the Ark, but she assumed they'd be doing much the same, not offering to help her out, least of all any time soon. Maybe she's the only one reeling from this heartache, and Vesper hasn't even bothered to mention it to them. Maybe, she'd been so insignificant to him and this family, that she's just a rancher first and foremost, and not Colt, Vesper's....what? What is she, anyway?
Pinching the bridge of her nose with a certain impatience at these thoughts sprouting up now, she forces them down with a swallow and a plastered on smile. As they each select their mounts, Colt gives a run down on riding and their horse's quirks. Hank takes Shrimp and ponies Beans with supplies, Jesse takes Donut and ponies Applesauce with supplies, and Mikey takes Sausages and ponies Chocolate with supplies. Colt meanwhile mounts up on Biscuit, the buckskin mare.
"Alright, the pasture to collect the cattle is a few days out, so we'll ride until dusk and then break for camp. You've got supplies on your horse to last you until then. Move out!" Some dogs join their herd, trotting alongside the fan and trail of horses and people. The ground is a mixture of grass, dirt, mud, and rocks, with many slopes and naturally running streams and ponds dotted throughout.
Mount up and ride out!
Marcus will need to open the first gate into the pastures since his mare took the lead spot, and she'll not be pleased to wait for everyone to pass through as he'll also close it behind them. She'll rush to catch up.
Nova will cause a ruckus when Custard tries to squeeze in between Donut and Applesauce
