The workflow is noticeably easier and faster now that everyone has a handle on what to do and where they can do it best. Flora makes an excellent anchor, holding panels steady while others, like Hawthorn, fit them neatly into place, ensuring they're fully slotted together. Colt and additional hands fasten the chains against them, relieving the anchors and it rotates and repeats down the skeleton of metal. As the blue of fur rushes past, Colt stomps after them for a second, cursing out dog names with as much gusto as priests using latin on demons. "Fucking always something," she sighs, but a quiet laugh huffs out, almost inaudible under her breath.
With the panels all arranged, Colt summons everyone back to the arena for a water break. "Don't pass out on me yet, fun's just getting' started," she teases around the rim of a glass before tipping the cool water back. Dawnlight has since stretched out into a clear blue sky, and heat ripples down in greeting. Sweat already darkens portions of Colt's clothing, and she uses their five to wipe her brow and tuck loose hairs back into place.
"Next up, we need to unload dirt into the arena, make sure we got good footing for the animals." Weather and work naturally carry it away, so any good arena worth its salt needs replenishing from time to time. Right on cue, a wagon pulled by horses arrives, and Colt hops over to open up the gate and late them through. Shovels stick out of the mound of dirt on the back, gleaming in the sun with a welcoming for hands and weariness alike. "For now help shovel it out as the wagon slowly drives around, then in a bit we'll get to smoothing it around." The wagon horse would come back to really drag it out, but with so many of their hands free they could help with the work. Not good to strain the horses unnecessarily in this heat.
