She hops into the saddle, keeping her humming tune going for most of the day. It follows her and Custard as they weave through the group. Whenever the palomino attempts to harass Donut, Nova guides him somewhere else, pointing out the pretty flowers along their trail or rambling on about the birds gliding overhead. She even throws out some magic, beautiful illusions glimmering in the air around them.
By the time they settle for the night, she feels properly bonded with the gelding, chatting freely about anything that comes to mind, even assisting in pulling the tackle from his back. The affection and overall enjoyment lingers as she leaves him for the night, immediately energized by Mikey's request for fresh meat.
Offering a playful salute, she bounces backwards towards the stream. "You can count it!" In a ripple of color, the tide jaguar bounds off, only slowing to avoid scaring them off when she gets close. She pulls out all the skills Sah taught her years ago, letting her natural predatory instincts draw her close enough to pounce. And if any of them threaten to get away, she'll quickly shift, snapping magic through the air to finish of her prey.
