open hand or closed fist would be fine
Had Kai voiced those concerns, Danta might have been able to put him at ease(??) by assuring him that he does not need to be behind him for them to fuck. Alas, perhaps it's something they can discover together in future endeavours - or not, as it happens, when the other man starts on his new tirade. Frowning only a touch to see his fire blocked out by the chakram, the Maverick rolls to his feet with all the predatory grace of a big cat, watching for his next move.

"Right," he says on the sex --> attraction part of this calculation, only for his expression to suddenly drop into something that, for a second, comes quite close to offended, before the mask is drawn firmly back into place. "So you're saying I don't love Asta, because I still have physical desires." Clearly Kai has caught on a burr in Danta's devil-may-care exterior, because he falls for the feint like it's been rehearsed. The soldier's leg sweeps out and the world disappears from beneath his feet, slamming him flat on his back in their makeshift arena.

The fire he conjures this time isn't as refined as the whipcrack from before, roaring forth in a plume intended to drive Kai back and away. "I'm done fighting," he decides, the ring around them snuffing out to leave little more than a black outline of soot. "It was a pleasure to be educated by you, Kai."

4/4 Danta falls for the feint and falls flat on his back, then retaliates with a plume of fire to drive Kai backwards.

the blood is rare and sweet as cherry wine
Horns: Diamond - they look very similar to #2 in this image.
