This is not the first time that Colt has made incorrect assumptions about what she considers common place. It quickly becomes clear that most everyone gathered here doesn't know any sort of horse math. Though everyone seems willing, mostly, they're directionless and mobbing around a course bound to be a shitshow at this rate. Which, honestly she might not mind watching if it didn't have her ranch's name attached to it come the big day.

Drawing up beside Flora and Thorn with her paper and pencil clenched in her teeth like a bit, she makes pointed strides from one jump to another, marking in the dirt with her toe where to place the next one and starting to jot down the flow.
