In the aftermath of the announcement people mill and mix, hushed voices and panicked whispers occasionally interrupted by a wailing sob. Koa greets a few reassures others, then spots a familiar mop of black hair bobbing toward the stalls. "Mateo!" he calls, picking his way around a burgeoning prayer circle to try and reach his friend.
Koa doesn't hesitate to wrap the botanist in a hug once he reaches him, heedless of the mess he probably looks (and smells). "Good to see you, man." A final clap on the back and Koa pulls away, head turning to survey the crowd, a frown between his eyes. "This is fucking nuts, right? I keep expecting Ludo to pop out and say it's all a messed up joke." Or Mel, though this feels like a little much even for the Zombee.
