Sohalia
Don't try to wake me up
Even if the sun really does come out tomorrow
‘Not next to the shrine’ seemed like a reasonable enough ask, and Soh had just opened her mouth to agree when another coughing fit took her lungs. When she’d recovered, she nodded, eyes watering, and rasped, ”Near the office. Got it.” She might have taken that moment to thank Grimm and go on her way, but then the man was turning away, walking towards the Celestine, and Soh blinked after him, bewildered by his sudden exit. Had she said something to offend him?Even if the sun really does come out tomorrow
But then his deep voice called back, and she scurried to catch up. ”Thank you. That would be helpful.”
The difference in air quality was immediate as soon as they stepped into the Celestine. Soh took the first deep breath she’d managed since she first set foot outside and nearly cried with relief. But she didn’t think that would make a very good impression on the Caretaker, who seemed rather unimpressed with her to begin with - although maybe he’d just been trying to conserve words out in the smoke. She couldn’t blame him there. Taking the moment to recover, she said nothing as she followed through the Celestine, content to allow Grimm to fill the silence - or not.
Don't believe anything you say anymore
