The rain falls, healing Jack and tearing through the banshee in equal measure and Sunjata has a moment where he finally kind of relaxes. Still more work to do as Melita’s arrow lands and Jack tries again for the ice shard that sails past her to sink into a tree trunk, hearing it land with a loud thwack of a sound.
Sunjata gets his teeth and realizes as the banshee goes for Jack that she very likely isn’t going to return her attention onto him any time soon, so he continues to try and place himself in positions where she might change her mind, trying to body block for Jack to still no avail as he calls for that back up the Captain had asked for.
“Hey, Ronin, we’ve got a bit of a banshee situation and need some extra fire power.” He tugs at that thread of magic for the rescue — the sensation so similar to years ago when he’d been Accepted that it’s almost surprising.
Sunjata tries to get in a position that makes it so he might be targeted rather than Jack this time, and uses his Rescue magic to call Ronin for some help!
Magic: Rescue | Sunjata can bring a fellow Old God demigod to his side in a time of crisis for three concurrent posts. One use per thread. If the summoned demigod also has mastered this ability, they can remain until the end of the thread.
