Everything hurts and then it doesn't again, Jack gasping in a clean breath as he staggers away from the banshee and promptly agrees with Sunjata's idea of putting the Flood back between them again. One hand reaches for his throat to check that everything is still where it should be and, aside from being soaking wet now, all looks good there. "'Preciate it," he rasps, voice still rough from the assault, but he can't get much more than that out before the cavalry arrives.
And fuck, there's clearly a reason they call Ronin the fucking White Knight, because he comes in all guns blazing. Jack barely remembers to add his own assault to the fray - but he does indeed remember - casting a spray of icy shards out in an arc towards the banshee alongside the others.
