I will still be here, stargazing
It doesn't require an interest in crafting to be able to marvel at the incredible walls Sunjata and Frey built. The possibilities are truly endless, and that's something entirely special about this place that loosens an appreciative and low whistle from Iskra as Sunjata explains. "Impressive as hell," he murmurs, stepping back to better admire the scene that begins to transform before his very eyes.
He's content to let Mel's question take the stage now, slipping back to the table to make his own pina colada and grab one of the crab rangoons. The news he expected had definitely been the much more casual sort. The question is harmless on the surface, though Mel had filled him in on the ordeal, he didn't think that's what she meant, nor did he expect the bomb Sunjata dropped with as much of a conversational shrug as he could fathom. Killed her is the first startling thing and Iskra's careful bite of the crab rangoon becomes quickly stuffing the entire thing into his mouth. His eyes search out Mel's, wide with disbelief as he chews around a smattering of meat and cream with as much casualness as he can muster (very little).
The news, it does not get better. Called off the engagement comes next just as Iskra's leapt to the lip of his drink cup like it could be a savior. The interruption of expectation nearly sends the sip back out, but the gasp draws it back in, and now the beverage he's rapidly inhaled leaved him coughing and choking into the crook of his arm. Fist thumping his chest as he fights for breath around the strangling burn of liquor going down the wrong way, he does his best to nearly die with as little distraction as possible. Here he thought Ampere made family dinner's exciting, but maybe it's just the family part.
