"But honestly, if there is anything Ronin or I can do, all you need to do is ask." He tilts his head, nose wrinkling slightly. "I think we have more time than you do, at least. We have been... fertilizing the sprout," he adds, amused and faintly baffled all at once. "So I honestly do not know."

His gaze lingers as colour warms Isla’s cheeks, noting the instinctive way she covers her left hand, his sea-glass eyes lifting back to her face without pressing. Surprise flickers briefly, then settles, and his voice remains soft when he asks, "Would you want to marry him?" There’s no judgement there, only curiosity shaped by care and years of being in the Remedy's orbit.
