Once he feels Danta shift to take a sip of his wine, Asta does the same – downing the rest of the glass before his arm rests against his lover’s middle. “I could muse about it in multitudes with you, darling.” He reassures him, curled up against his side as his lids start to grow heavy despite his attempts to prevent this day from ending. But with the lullaby of his lover’s heartbeat and soft breaths, it’s hard to keep paying attention.
