NIKI
"Mm, you could end up accidentally breaking into a mausoleum," Niki says, sounding quietly interested despite his best efforts to remain casual. "I read about... daemons there too, I think? Spirits of companions that guard the barrows. I imagine you might draw some unwanted attention from them if you were to build in the wrong place." And gods, if he wasn't guaranteed to be absolutely obliterated by such a creature, Niki might have been tempted to try and see one for himself.
He chuckles at the idea of the pocket-sized sea panther, finding it easy to imagine if only because the likelihood of him coming across the full grown version is nil. And luckily he's too preoccupied with the actual demigod seated on his sofa to notice the additional feather (yet), but rest assured, Sunjata, it won't be missed for long. So instead, sinking down into the nearby armchair and dismissing his cane back into a ring, he cradles his own coffee in his hands.
"If you were imposing I would tell you," he assures him with a wave of his hand, despite it being a lie. "Though I do believe I could do a better job of it at the guildhall. I can send it down to King's End for you when it is finished?" At the mention of his being tired, though, Niki can only shrug sheepishly. He's always tired to some extent, after all, and the company is a good distraction from it for now.
