Expecting the conversation to slip past his blunder, there’s some surprise as he munches on his portion of the food on his plate as Iskra asks him what it feels like. He’s silent for a moment, like he’s searching for the right words to answer – something Melita would recognize when he starts to explain. “I.. Yeah. There’s those feelings you have when you love someone, right? Where you’re proud of them or hurt by them because of whatever reason and it’s just… gone?” His nose wrinkles, his steel gaze flitting to Melita with a small frown. “I can’t feel everything for Nate anymore, even.” He tacks on a little quieter, which is perhaps the most upsetting part of the whole thing for him.
As for whether or not there’s something they can do, he shrugs a shoulder and takes a sip from his cocktail that does all of hardly anything, finding a small smile blooming in the corners of his lips that he aims at Iskra. “Yeah.. That’s a good point.” Even if he feels like the vast majority of the time he’s got some bullshit going on that he just dumps on Melita time and time again. “Nothing so far, but when I do get started on the quest I might need some help with that.” So he might be reaching out the second he has an idea of what’s expected of him.
More than happy to latch onto what’s going on with them, though, its still with exhaustion in his face but a new lease on excitement for what Melita has going on, the wink to Iskra not missed but he doesn’t comment on it. Not yet, at least. “That’s good.” He starts, latching onto the mention of cannons. “Oh? What’re you doing with them?” Listening in for her answer, he snorts a little and sighs with the mention of the banshee.
“I was kind of focused on it at the time, but did Jack hit like.. at all?” He drawls with a slightly amused twist of his lips.
