In that brief moment, Ellyra might feel other things, too - exhaustion, worry, grief - but Soh quickly shut all that away again in favor of her own brand of concern.

Curiosity and worry were warring in her friend, and Soh knew from past experience with Ellyra that the young woman wouldn't let her get away with ignoring her feelings. Once she got the bit between her teeth, the nurse usually refused to let go until Soh was well and truly wrung out.
