Where some might wish to lounge about or sleep in or any number of other idle pleasures, he had always been driven to be better, to do more, to find solace in activity. It was inaction that had led him down darker paths in his youth, and now he was determined never to tread those again.

It wasn't an unexpected tactic, but at that moment, Liam stepped on a particularly slippery rock and stumbled slightly, catching himself at the last moment but immediately realizing that he'd given Zavien an opening. Redoubling his grip on his Oakblade, he used its ability to increase its weight, driving towards Zavien's Starblade with a devastatingly quick strike that he hoped would cover up his momentary misstep.
