MELITA
Melita hand-waved the notions away; Flora had grown from those potentially petulant hours, and she’d like to think that the Doubletake had much firmer ground underneath her, with or without Remi and Ronin’s aid. Instead of warring and middling deeper into it, she contorted herself into another jumping parameter, happy to glide up and down amidst the wind and the promise of soaring, not even remotely ready for what was to come.So much so that as Flora made her announcement, and the Honeybee launched at the same time, she tucked her feet back into her chest and screeched “What??” simultaneously, shock and awe on her features as she pummeled into the pool’s depths. By the time she resurfaced, the bewilderment was still on her face, easily seen now that her sunglasses had scattered somewhere from the impact. “Hold up,” and she dove down to retrieve them, shaking her head upon her return.
“A baby. No, two babies,” finally came into fruition, and she tread water for several instances, snorting, trying to sort out her own reactions and sentiments. “How – did they ask the gods?” Presuming that Frey or someone would settle that matter wholeheartedly, ignorant of the existence of the baby garden right out there in King’s End. “Also…how are you with all of that?” The demigods had certainly enough tragedy marring the wake of their children…bold and brave enough to try it again, when the rest had settled into adulthood.
