Her hair billowed in the breeze, a golden crown where Noah's voice found her. She angled her hips along his spine, settling deeper into the dip there, ready for whatever movement the griffin might make then shouted, I got it! Her voice was confident enough to falsely suggest she might have actually ridden a griffin before.
When he took off, Nova gave a gasping giggle, torn between the urge to throw out her hands and the need to hold on tighter. She stared up into the smokey sky, the blue turning thick and gray, a yellowish hue hinting at the sunlight beyond. Then Noah was dipping, the world falling around them in a moment of weightlessness that made her laugh, drawing her eyes back down to the snowy ground below.
