And so with the turn of the season from Longheat to Leafchange, things begin to settle into something more resembling normality. No further wildfires rage across the regions; no smoke hangs acrid in the air. The world cools off, in those places where such things are possible, leaves give up their green, the days grow short and the nights grow chill.
Then it begins to rain.
These aren't the mudslick downpours of Flowerbirth, not to worry - there are no floods or mudslides to worry about this season. This rain is comparatively humdrum, plunging many regions into a soft haze of grey twilight. With it, though, comes the occasional accoutrements of stormier weather, even in places like The Climb and Hak Etme where the rain is largely kept at bay. And there's something decidedly not right about this thunder and lightning.
You see, it screams.
And that is no metaphor - each fork of lightning creates a bloodcurdling shriek, each purr of thunder a chorus of cries and moans. Perhaps this is a trick of Ludo, or maybe the Mathair looking to have a little fun. Maybe it's natural.
Regardless, it's loud. And it's here to stay for Leafchange.

This event will run from March 1st to April 30th. All requirements must be met to complete the event. Multiple characters can participate, but the threads do not carry across! (I.E. Both characters must complete all threads to gain +1 Luck/100MP each).
Please use the Seasonal Event prefix in your thread titles. Once all requirements are met, post them here with your OOC account, linking the necessary threads and whether you'd like +1 Luck for your character or 100MP! Threads must be archived before the end of the season in order to be accepted.
1. Trigger one of the SCREAM RAIN serendipities in a thread with 3 characters or less. All participants may use the thread for the SE requirement.
NOTE: You can of course write scream rain into as many threads as you like - you just need an actual serendipity for this part of the SE!
2. Complete a thread sharing a ghost story with one or more characters.
3. Complete a thread paying homage to the Mathair at her tree in the Greatwood. You may pay homage in any way you think she would appreciate!
4. Attend the Festival of Lights SWE (Link to be provided).
