Her feelings about Jack were clear on her pretty face: disgust and outrage, with no room for anything resembling understanding. "Please tell me we're planning some petty revenge."

I really thought he'd last longer," she added, sipping idly at her drink. "But I dunno that I'd call him my man, exactly. It's been... complicated."
