“You’re a lucky man, then.” Sunjata says, managing to find the smile that grows easier on his face. He nods shortly after the abandoned says he’ll trust his judgement on it – figuring that sugar wasn’t really in the other man’s preferences for coffee would make enough sense that he would take his word for it.
As for his tattoos and the passive magic, Sunjata nods with a small snort. “It’s okay. They used to move, back when I was under Safrin.” It was an easy mistake to make, when the baseline of his tattoos had once harbored infinite stars that moved like stars passing in the night. “It is fun, yeah.” Especially when he forgets about it and suddenly realizes it when his hands and legs are often painted in those dark floral designs – roses to lilies and everything in between.
As for deciding, he withdraws the water with his magic from the lightning scarred arm until it’s a blank slate again apart from the scars before he’s dipping the cloth in to try and clean up the majority of the ash from this side – finding it more of a task with the way his skin is raised in those arching branches of electricity from years ago. “It is a gift from Frey. And no, I didn’t really know about it until one day it just happened. I like the flowers, though. It’s a nice soft opposite of all the scars I have.” He smiles with the thought – that having something beautiful like that offset the brutality of the scars, a careful balancing act of resilience. “I don’t think I would have chosen to do anything else if I had the option, though.” He admits, glancing up at Niki in between clearing up more ash to see what he thinks of that answer.
