Limp and sated, Soh clung to Zavien like a lifeline as coherent thought began to trickle slowly back into her brain. Gods, had they really just done that? Had she really just come apart so thoroughly that she was no longer sure that she could put herself back together? Surely, surely, it couldn’t get better than this: being held, post-orgasm, in the arms of a man she trusted and admired, as though she were the most precious thing in the world?
