It was strange to be talking to Flora's husband - and her ex-lover's (?) cousin - about what to do with the information she'd learned from Jude, but Soh didn't have many guy friends at this stage, and Kai had given her good advice before. She hoped that this time would be no different.
When the bell over the door jingled and Soh saw Kai enter the cafe, she lifted a hand in a wave. "I've already ordered something," she told him. "Get whatever you want - my treat." Her quandary could at least wait until they'd settled in.
