Sitting here at dinner with her date, talking about anything and everything that came to mind, thoroughly engrossed in conversation and no longer worrying incessantly about things she had no control over. But just now her gaze was fixed on Zavien’s, and as he revealed his one question, her heart did a little stutter-step. There was no hesitation in her demeanor as she replied, ”Yes! Of course I will.” Beaming at her boyfriend, Soh felt as though she might take flight simply from how incredibly happy she felt. Her heart sang and raced, giddy and so excited to see where this journey took them. There was no path they could take, she felt sure, that they could not traverse together.
”Are we sure we aren’t dreaming?” she asked happily. If she was, she hoped very much to never wake up.
