Zavien
His eyes met hers, green meeting silver like a storm on the horizon, about to break. Everything braced for it, preparing, anticipating, but as she whispered the question into the air, the wind paused, the calm before the storm, a cool breeze before the heat. It shifted something in him, calming the raging desire enough for him to give her the attention the question deserved.
Zavien released his hold on her hair, sliding down to bracket her waist gently in his hands, no longer rushed or greedy as time seemed to still. He took a slow breath, organizing his thoughts before he gave them voice, refusing to break eye contact as he said, "Soh, I like you for more reasons than I can count - gods, I might even - " he cut off with a sharp inhale, not ready to say it aloud for multiple reasons that he wouldn't ruin the moment for. His head lowered, his forehead inadvertently leaning against hers, hoping she understood more than he was able to say with words. "As long as you believe that - believe without a doubt that my feelings for you are not dependent on sex," he paused, letting his words sink in, for her to process whether she trusted the emotions, that they weren't conditional or confused with the physical components, that he was thinking as clearly as he could with her in his arms, "then if you'll let me, I'd like to show you how our first time should have gone."
