Nova wishes Vesper were here to see all the fun she's having. Colt ducks beneath the branches to avoid the birds that try to peck at her hair - was it always that shade of blonde? - and Nova has to hide the chirping giggle of her delight. Even if they don't draw blood, she loves watching the rancher scramble.
Her eyes dart to a hulking man who talks funny, looking half wild as he stands there. Maybe having a wolf shift makes people talk like that. She hopes she never finds out.
Then Liam shows up, and recognition flashes bright through her brain, recalling Maea's significant other easily from the housewarming party. She hadn't remembered his name, but Colt is kind enough to fix that for her. Nova guesses she'll hold off on another bird barrage for now.
Tilting her head, she looks to where Colt indicates, excitement coursing through her at the thought of hunting this 'allogator.' Maybe she'll manage to spot it first or sneak in the final blow. But first, she'll have to find it. So Nova takes flight on a silent gust of wind, weaving through the trees towards the bank, bird eyes peeled for any sign of life or movement.
