"Nice to meet you," Liam said, offering a small smile to Colt. She was the only one willing to exchange niceties, though, and the man Liam didn't know stalked off shortly after hearing the rancher out, shifting into a wolf on his way. Liam glanced at Colt, one eyebrow raised, as though to comment silently on the 'friendly' nature of the man. Still, he kept his mouth shut, giving a mental shrug. He wasn't here to make friends. He was here to help.
So off he went, hand on the hilt of his sword, eyes peeled for any sign of the allogator. They were tough creatures, he knew, and he wasn't eager to be caught unawares. He made his way to the shoreline of the island they were on, looking for tracks or anything else he could use to estimate the allogator's whereabouts.
