The blow missed the allogator's tail as it thrashed, now fully blinded by the efforts of Colt and Grimm. Nova's shards also managed to do some damage, leaving Liam snarling with frustration. Everyone else was doing their part, so why couldn't he? Colt called out, and Liam thought about channeling with her, but the situation was not yet so dire that it felt necessary.
Instead, adjusting his grip and tugging the sword from the dirt, he quickly lunged again, this time hoping to stab into the allogator's massive thigh. Then, yanking back the blade, he stepped away, heeding Colt's warning to get out of the way. When Ronin showed up, it would only be for a few seconds - just enough to send some kind of attack towards the creature, hopefully - and Liam didn't want to get caught in the crossfire. He retreated back amongst the trees, sword still drawn, and ducked behind one to wait.
