And then, Charlie explodes onto the scene. She’s beautiful and radiant, exhibiting everything he’d come to expect for their lovely priestess carrying their goddess’ child. It’s surprise enough (and some sense of safety deep within him to realize that since she’s very much pregnant that there’s little for the butcher to worry about). As Danta parts from him, the butcher follows, swept forward in a blanket of shadows as he greets her in turn, confident he can keep himself steady. This was monumentous, after all. “Congratulations, darling. We are so very excited for you.” And with her utmost attention to ensuring not to touch without the permission, the butcher reaches out for her with his own tendril of flame, melding with her own in a quiet appreciation for the carefulness with her attention.
Drawing quiet as Danta straightens back up and tells her what to expect, he hovers at his lover’s shoulder and lets a low rumble of a laugh leave him at the last offer. He’d never say no to a real fight. “Enjoy yourself, my dear.” He purrs, positive that she’d find no shortage of it.
As he glances around to the new arrivals in the interim, though, a nod and a smirk is offered over to Thalassa as she sips from the pink and fruity drink out of pure caution.
