He’s on his best behaviour, of course, but as Danta hands him a drink with a straw that helps make it so he can take a sip of it, he harbors no pause before he takes a big swig from it before it actually hits him and he’s surprised by it just the same as Danta is.
Swallowing it down as a slight cough, the butcher holds the glass down by his chest as he stares at it and sucks in a sharp breath. “Gods.” He huffs, chuckling softly before he leans back against the back of the bar and tilts his head toward the ceiling and shakes himself out a touch before running a hand through his hair to keep the long dark strands contained behind his antlers.
Looking back over at Danta and taking his free hand to sweep around his middle to tug him in as they survey the rest of the party, Asta cradles the Blue Torcher close. “It is a good thing we have a room here, no?” He purrs playfully – because he doesn’t think he’d manage finding a room in an inn somewhere after these drinks.
But he sips idly from the cocktail, eyes finding Flora with someone he recognizes from the rodeo in King's End - the one that puts it on, and with the curve of the Doubletake's voice Asta seems to understand even at this distance that there's some tension there. Interested - and always having Flora's back regardless of whether he understands what's happening - the butcher leans down to brace his elbows on the bar now with Danta, his dark gaze skating over toward him with a raise of his brow as if silently asking if he'd hold the leash if a brawl did break out.
