Sohalia
I'll spend forever wondering if you knew
Where Soh had been prepared to simply enjoy the party, it seemed that that was not to be. Trouble was brewing, and it didn't take long for the vibe of the party to shift into something that had Soh's gaze falling on Flora and Colt. Tensing - because she could guess what this was about - she considered keeping to the shadows, letting them work out whatever was going on without her interference. But that would be cowardly, so she took a large swig of her Blue Torcher and walked over towards her friends.
Just in time to hear Colt's accusation: So your best friend's just a liar, then?
Soh stopped in her tracks, her grip on her drink tightening, something shocked and hurt appearing on her face. But before she could refute this statement, Colt was off on a rampage, and then she was leaving - which, given the situation, was probably for the best, but still felt like a slap in the face.
Tears prickled at the back of Soh's eyes as she looked to Flora - Flora, who had been here for her in every sense for longer than Soh could remember; Flora, with whom she might argue but could never stay angry at; Flora, who she knew without a doubt would have been defending her against Colt's unjust fury. She had thought that Colt was her friend, but Flora? Flora was everything.
As Colt stormed towards the door, Soh suddenly felt overwhelmed. The party was too much, too loud, too big, and she left Flora with one last confused, wounded, desperate look to slip out a different door into the quieter hall beyond, where she could gather her emotions and, hopefully, not ruin Flora's night.
