"Unfortunately, darling, I do not think we would have ever managed to get to dessert.” He laments, before he’s plopping that bite into his mouth and chewing it with appreciation that this is their reality rather than the hypothetics.

And with my luck, I likely would still be in the confines of that dreadful cave like a burrowing spider.” He chuckles a low and rich sound, stirring his cocoa again before he sips from it.
