Content with the time they'd been given - and relieved that she'd found out now, rather than in a few months' time - Soh nodded, continuing to sway with Zavien. "I know," she commented with a smile. "It feels like plenty of time."
Now that Soh knew about the pregnancy, she was determined to include Zavien in as much of it as she could. The prospect of all they had to look forward to brought a smile to her face - and first up, as it turned out, was the potential of finding out the gender. "No," she said, shaking her head. "I'm with you - as long as they're healthy, that's all that matters to me." Boy or girl, Soh would be happy, so long as they were all safe and together. She knew she would love them regardless, and that was really all that mattered.
But that didn't mean that she wasn't curious. There was merit, she supposed, to waiting until birth to find out the gender, but she wasn't sure she could wait that long, not when knowing might change names they picked out or colors of clothing or any number of other things. "I don't have a particularly strong opinion either way, but I know some people like to be surprised when the baby is born. But it might be nice to know ahead of time, too."
