Niki seems to settle as they walk together, doing his best to keep up a decent pace so that Sunjata doesn't have to pull his belongings for too long, however little his demigodly constitution might be affected. The people who weave around them draw his attention in a different way than they had previously; these are no longer strangers in a city he doesn't know, but potential neighbours or regular acquaintances, and he has to continually check back on Sunjata to make sure he hasn't started to wander off.
"It certainly seems as though everyone is busy," he agrees, smiling. "It is good to see, especially with Deepfrost on the way. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help with the river?" He isn't great at physical labour, but he can summon up something that could help if necessary, he thinks.
