“A martini man.” Sunjata says with a soft laugh before he’s relaxing and finishing up the pizza slice if only so he can light another cigarette to occupy some of the time, setting it between his lips as he inclines his head. “Hey, it’s for a good cause. Means you’ll get to watch me get wasted one day.” He lights the cigarette and pulls it from his lips to shoot him a lopsided grin, evident that the scar on the side of his face has impacted the muscle there.
Not that it seems like Sunjata minds, he’s gotten used to the deadened feeling of it these days. And he puffs idly from it as he watches Niki try out the brandy, watches the scrunch of his nose and half expects him to decide he doesn’t like it. But he tries it anyway, much to Sunjata’s surprise, and doesn’t seem to hate it. In fact, it seems like an agreement to continue to drink it later – though Sunjata wonders if he’ll really need it.
Brightening up to hear that he feels great, Sunjata puffs out a smoky cloud of relief. “Good.” It leaves his lips before a deeper, accented laugh leaves him. “Probably not. But I guess now you can just focus on water and see how far it’s gotten you.” He shrugs a shoulder, the sweater bunching with the movement. “It’s gonna be worse when you stand, I guarantee it.”
