But then the glow brightened, then divided, like it was everywhere all at once, and something nagged beneath the surface of his chest. All of them could’ve strayed anywhere, gone after pockets of light and filaments of fanciful decrees. Amhran held him at bay though; caught within those necessities of protection and security. For half a moment he almost wondered if snagging relics from former basilisk holders counted, or even the duplicitous means of the will o’wisps in the Greatwood.
Following the Raeling, he opted for going amongst the peepholes too – opting to shake his head with a declarative ‘no’ at the inquiry.
