I'm sure she'll come around." Optimism came easy, his hopes supplementing the doubts as he offered reassurance.

"As well as I can." Zavien lifted his gaze to the sky, rubbing his hands together before looking back to Liam. "We're still figuring things out, deciding where to live and other logistics." He smiled more fully, the joy peeking through whatever uncertainties threatened to dampen the exhilaration of his shifting role. "It still doesn't feel real sometimes, but I'm really looking forward to being a dad."
