i think i'm the devil in disguise, here's my state of mind
Excitement ripples through the ember fox with the shifting of her paws, the small yip and the tilt of her head, and the butcher can’t help but to let the soft laugh leave him to spy her boundless energy within her shift – wondering what it was like to be young and full of it again. But, he leans back once it seems like she’s shifting back, book perfectly fine and not at all singed in the process. He nods to her agreement, and when she takes the seat on the bench again he’s half expecting to get back into his day when she snags the book and sets it in her lap.
Her feet kick out and her question reaches him before he has a moment to actually step away, though, tail flicking idly in amusement as he seems to debate whether or not he has other things to do. He doesn’t, really, not when it comes to time for Dygra’s demigod. “Sure, I suppose I can stay a little longer, darling.” He decides, stepping back over to resume his seat and to read over her shoulder as she peruses the book some more.
Happy to answer whatever questions she has, he’ll stay until he really does need to leave, but hopefully imparts some of his wisdom into her in the process.
