I'd burn my house down just to hear them scream my name
Flora’s whole face pulls into a dramatic wince, her nose wrinkling and one eye narrowing. "Oooooof," she murmurs, stretching the sound out beneath her breath before giving a small nod, because, well, that did sound painfully Everest.
"It’s so weird to think of him as an uptight dad now," she says, lips twisting with the faintest flicker of disbelief. In her mind, Everest is still half-filed away as Mateo’s weird friend who worked at her bar, all careful hands and strange little rules. Shaking her head slightly, Flora lets the thought settle where all deeply bizarre adult realizations apparently have to go. "Well, that’s good," she says of them all being settled, and when she looks back at Ronin her smile turns crooked, her head tilting a little to one side.
"Kai and I talked about having kids a bit ago when we found out Sohalia was pregnant, but..." Her brows lift, the answer already written across her face. "For sure neither of us is ready for that."
