I'd burn my house down just to hear them scream my name
Flora wrinkles her nose, because she has heard more than enough about the history between the Bastion and the Remedy to last several lifetimes, most of it entirely against her will. There are some things daughters should simply not have to know about their fathers’ romantic pasts, and she feels extremely confident placing Isla somewhere near the top of that list.
At the mention of Sohalia, though, Flora’s expression brightens, amusement spilling easily back into place. "Oh, yeah. It wasn’t planned, and I’m pretty sure she got pregnant, like... a month into dating the guy, but—" She shrugs, the movement light and helplessly fond. "She seems super happy, and apparently Zavien is too, so..." As for Carlo and Calan being effective birth control, Flora snickers and nods, eyebrows lifting with pointed emphasis. "Sounds like," she agrees, because if anything is going to make the idea of children feel less exciting and more like a minor crises it’s two identical little boys with divine access and questionable impulse control.
The question of whether she wants children one day has her tilting her head, the answer not quite ready-made enough to toss back with her usual confidence. For a moment she looks out across the beach, where the soldiers and Ronin's duplicate are still forging ahead with LongNight preparations, and then her mouth twists. "Well, it’s kind of intimidating knowing twins run in the family," she says, glancing back at Ronin. "Though I guess I could ask Frey for help on that bit." Then she shakes her head, a softer sigh leaving her. "But I dunno. I mean..." Flora lifts one shoulder, her brows drawing together slightly. "Parenting doesn’t really seem easy at all."
