"Mm, so people keep tellin' me," Niki mumbles, but between not wanting to feel like he's got to buy his intimacy at a brothel and being self-conscious about his body, that's much easier said than done. Unless you're Sunjata Wrenzaok, apparently, because suddenly as Niki glances back up his field of view is all grey eyes and freckles, softly lit by the glow of fireflies and flickering sconces. He can smell whiskey and sandalwood against the warmth of the other man's hand, feeling heat flood his cheeks beneath Sunjata's fingers, and he's got barely a chance to snatch in a breath before the other man's lips are pressing against his own.
It lasts barely more than a few seconds, but even that is a lifetime to a man who has never realised the meaning of touch-starved until right this moment. It isn't as though Niki has never kissed or been kissed, but it is his first time experiencing it with someone he finds genuinely attractive, and by the time Sunjata draws back he's sure the Heartless will be able to hear Niki's pulse hammering loud enough for the both of them.
"I didn't hate it," he whispers, voice low and rough with a mix of liquor and confusion, his hand sneaking between them to ghost against the demigod's jaw. "Do it again?"
