ISKRA
I always feel alone, inside my mind
How do I love my scars when I'm traumatized
How do I love my scars when I'm traumatized
He could feel the rigidity of her behind him as anticipation tightened her towards the inevitable display of electric might. Nowhere near as impressive as his mother's displays, the lightning still cuts a violent shape through the air and into the snowy man, Snah. One day, perhaps, he'd manage to call on the element as masterfully as she had, beckoning static at a whim instead of with a cloth.
For now though, it's sight enough to have Melita flinching, but she doesn't bury herself away as she otherwise might have. She stands firm, staring down the bright discord of sotmr-tamed violence. "It seemed to," he agreed, in quiet comment returned, daring to signify he noticed the change in her for the better. His gaze tips back towards Snah, sliding off her reluctantly as another display of attempted control unfurls from her, the lightning now streaking not from his will, but hers.
The slumping pile of snow and ice, faintly smoking from the repeated assaults, earns a vicious grin. "You killed it," he praises boldly, and there are several things he thinks have died here today, the physical corpse of snow the least important among them. About to ask if they should fry it into complete slush, the selectric sparkle of the voice still flashing through his mind where his magic had just swelled, urging him to use it further. She provides the next step for him though, and his fingers leave the cloth, the crackling whispers dying out, especially the moment she's guiding her lips back to his.
Against her sides his arms find her, pulling her closer as he leans into the gratitude and the flush of excitement that hums in his veins whenever they come close. His smile flutters out in response, nose brushing hers as they slowly part to afford breath and words. "Let's go get warm," he offers, and there's absolutely an innuendo carrying itself beneath it, because seeing her venture to the precipice of fear and conquer it has certainly sparked more than admiration in him for the moment. He'd like to see what else she could thoroughly fuck up today. Grinning, he grabs her hand and pulls her along back towards his house, Goose joining their trail home.

I've been trying to find something
that can set my soul free
that can set my soul free
