Aithne grimaces at her outburst, even more so as she notes the satisfaction on Thalassa's face. She never lets things get to her, especially not other people - and yet, the captain seems to have pressed all the right buttons to finally get the girl to release some pent-up frustration.

"I am fighting," she snarls, but she bites back the rest of her retort. It doesn't seem like it will do any good to point out that it was hardly a fair fight, given Thalassa's strength and experience. Instead, she forces a harsh smile onto her face. "I didn't ask for coddling, and I don't need anything soft," she says with disdain. "I guess I just thought you'd be a better teacher." It slips out before she can stop herself, and she bites her lip to keep anything else from flying free - like how Thalassa just seems like a bitter bully with nothing better to do than pick on someone who admires her.

Turning her nose up at the captain, she turns on her heel. Her pride will heal, and she'll be back for more - but for today, she is done. Without another word, she stalks off into the trees and into the eye of the storm.
