The startled flinch didn't deter her magic from probing forward to find the rhythm of his heart. It pounded against her skin, echoing in her mind and resonating with her magic to create a new thread of glittering light that pulsed gently in the air above her open palm.
Slowly, like snow crystalizing into ice, the delicate gold strands wove together into an identical pendant attached to a thin chain. The golden metal caught the light with a final shimmer before settling its new weight into her hand, feeling heavier for the energy it took with it.
Nova released her hold on Zavien, turning instead to Soh this time as she offered out the necklace. "This one's yours!"
