Blood soaks into the ground, pouring from the holes the Butcher had created by goring the wolf in front of him. The movement is quick, enough that he doesn’t have to worry about the threat of a wound, but not enough that he doesn’t have to worry about the blood that splatters across his legs. He focuses more on the crack of bone beneath cloven hooves, nostrils flaring as he rounds around again, taking a quick glance around to see that the rest of the wolves were gone.
As Thalassa starts to dive into the wolf she’d taken down, Asta also starts to join in on the one still whimpering. It’s a slow bleed out, but the Butcher seems to relish in it as he lowers his head to score the hide of the wolf with his flaming antlers again, tearing off strips of the fur to get to the meat. And once he has does the Butcher finally bite down, pinning it by the neck with one of his hooves.
