Confirming that the rest of the threats have been dealt with, Thal's eyes land on Asta as he picks his own wolf. A flicker of surprise sparks in the back of her mind when he stays shifted to eat, but whatever questions she has about that are set aside for her own hunger.
She rips into the flank of the wolf, inhaling the coppery scent of blood as it coats her tongue. It's warm, pushing out the cold of Deepfrost in a flooding heat that feels suspiciously like ecstasy, spreading through every limb and corner of her mind. It consumes her in a wave of desire, her fangs sinking deeper to take a large bite of fresh meat.
After eating her fill, Thal lets out a growling huff of air, tail swaying in a lazy rhythm behind her. A yawn expands unbidden from her mouth, bloody tongue stretching just as she stands to extend her front paws. Her tongue curls over her fangs to clean them of stuck pieces of muscle and tendon. There's still some meat on her current kill, and the third wolf remains untouched between the two of them. It should be more than enough to hold them over until Flowerbirth.
